Welcome to Hunt, New Kinders!
We're so happy you're here at Hunt! Kindergarten is an exciting new chapter for your little one and your family- a great opportunity to become immersed into the Hunt community.
If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity - whether it's 30 quiet minutes in the workroom laminating, cutting, and stapling papers, helping us lead classroom parties, helping set up the Dramatic Play Center every 4-6 weeks, or just attending a party to take photos for the Hunt Yearbook, we have a role that will contribute greatly to our Kinder experience!

At-Home Work
- Parents work with your kids on letter recognitions, counting to 10, and knowing their colors. Help give them a head start!
- Get your child ready for the lunch room! Practice opening packages by themselves. Remember, lunchtime is only 30 minutes, so concentrate on eating within that short period!
What it means to be a hound
Hunt Hounds are:
Honest, modeling
Outstanding behavior, and strive to have an
Understanding heart. They will stay
Neat and organized,
Demonstrate responsibility, and
Show respect to all people.
This is our Hunt Hound pledge.
Why Join the PTA
Our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) comprises parents, teachers, administrators, and community members dedicated to supporting every child in reaching their maximum potential.
Membership dues, donations, and volunteer hours play a pivotal role in funding the majority of school events and activities. While attendance at meetings and volunteering is optional, active participation from our community enhances the overall school experience.
Things to Look Forward To
Dramatic Play - Engaging in dramatic play supports children's emotional development by enabling them to express and explore feelings through roleplaying. This activity is part of their Centers program, which rotates with parent volunteers.
Fun Fridays - This volunteer-led activity usually takes place on the last Friday of each month. Volunteers carry out a creative craft and snack aligned with the curriculum.
Lunch - Parents can join children for lunch in the cafeteria starting the THIRD week of school. One volunteer per day is needed to assist opening lunch items.
Spirit Sticks & Top Dogs - Students earn Spirit Sticks and Top Dogs for awesome Hunt Hound behavior. These can be used to get fun prizes and privileges at school!
