FAQ:

Grade Level Shirts

Does creating an account on HuntPTA.org mean I am a PTA member?

  • No, creating an account simply gives you easy access to ordering products offered by the PTA like Hunt Spirit Wear, Holly Grams, Friendship Grams, and more. It’s also where you’ll be signing up for volunteer opportunities like Classroom Parties, Workroom Helper, Book Fair, and Field Day. Having an account allows you to track your order history and volunteer history in an easy-to-access place!
  • We like to think of our Hunt families using 2 platforms for all of their Hunt needs - Skyward App for all things school, and HuntPTA.org (Membership Toolkit) for all things PTA.
  • Creating an account and updating your Family Information and Student Shirt Size does ensure that your student will receive the correct shirt size for their Grade Level Shirt!

What is a Grade Level Shirt (GLS)?

  • Each year, the Hunt PTA provides FREE shirts to all Hunt students and staff, with delivery usually in September/October, depending on how quickly we can get ALL student tshirt sizes!  These shirts coordinate with the Grade Level Colors and should be worn during Field Trips (for easy identification) and Field Day. They can also be worn during Spirit Assemblies and Spirit Day Fridays!

Example of Grade Level Shirts from 2023-2024

What size shirt is best for my student?

See our size charts below. It's advised to account for growth spurts since Field Trips and Field Day both occur in the spring semester, and sizing up helps ensure your student's shirt will fit by then!

Note that YOUTH MEDIUM fits like ADULT SMALL,  and YOUTH XL fits like an ADULT MEDIUM in width; adult sizes have longer torso lengths.

  • 2nd Grade = Orange
  • 3rd Grade = Blue

I updated my profile and student shirt size information, now what?

  • The size you submitted is for your your student's Grade Level Shirt (GLS). Hunt PTA will deliver your student's GLS directly to your student once we receive all student shirt sizes and get the shirts ordered!  Questions about your student's free GLS, email Jenny Nemlekar at SpiritWear@HuntPTA.org.

Photo Sharing

The PTA maintains Private Facebook Groups for all 6 Grade Levels to share information and create community within the grade levels. Below are the rules for sharing photos of student in our Grade Level Facebook Groups:

Can I post photos of my child in the Facebook Group?

  • Absolutely! As long as the photo is only of your child (may include Hunt staff and consenting adults), you may share that photo in our Facebook Group.

Will photos shared on social media be considered for the Hunt Yearbook?

  • Yes ONLY IF you posted them into the album labeled for yearbook consideration!

Can I post photos of my child with their best friend to the Facebook Group?

  •  If you have received permission from the parent of that friend, you may post the photo to our Facebook Group.

Can I take photos during my child's Classroom Party or if I'm chaperoning a Field Trip?

  • Parents/Guardians CANNOT take photos on campus EXCEPT for the purpose of Yearbook. If you take photos during Classroom Parties, you must state that this is for the Yearbook before taking the photo, and then submit the photos to our private upload portal.

  • This is the guideline for the PTA from PISD: "When taking photographs of PTA events occurring on school grounds during school hours, non-staff PTA members shall refrain from photographing students and shall not publish any student names or photos. The one exception would be to take photographs for the yearbook."

There's so much happening, how do I stay up-to-date with what's going on at the school?

  • Follow the school’s newsletter "Hunt Herald", sent every Tuesday and Thursday via your email associated with your student registration/enrollment in Skyward.
  • Make sure you’re receiving Hunt PTA email newsletters (sent monthly). Login to your HuntPTA.org account, click on your name on the top left, find the tab labeled “SUBSCRIPTIONS” and make sure you’re opted into our newsletters!
