Help us chalk the walking paths for Hop, Pop, Walk to School Day! No art experienced required - a fun volunteer opportunity to bring the kiddos to help! Please sign up for each ADULT volunteering (kids are a bonus!).
Dads, Grandpas, Uncles, and Father-Figures—grab your coffee, spend just 15 minutes with us in the morning, and be one of the 8 Safety Patrol heroes who make carpool smoother by opening car doors with a smile!
Help us make our Scholastic Book Fair a success by volunteering for a shift! We need help setting up, running registers, helping students choose the right books for their reading level, and tearing down the show. Any amount of time you can contribute makes an impact!
Help us make our first Kinder Fun Friday a success by leading a craft activity and snack for our Kinder classes!
Help our little Kinders open and close their lunch containers, peel bananas, and clean up! Shifts are from 10:25-11:00AM during Kinder Lunch.
Kindergarten Team needs volunteers each Wednesday morning to help with cutting and laminating!
1st Grade Team needs volunteers each Thursday morning to help with cutting (lots of cutting!!), collating, laminating, etc.
It's time to shop! With 1st grade "money" in our Hound Depot! Help our 1st graders count their change to purchase small gifts in the shop!
2nd Grade Team needs at least two volunteers each Friday morning to help with counting copies, cutting, stapling, etc.
Reader’s Theater is a teaching technique that uses reading and performance to help students engage and comprehend a text. Reader’s theater has many benefits, including building fluency and reading expression, active listening, motivation, multimodal learning, and exposure to new genres. Mystery Reader’s Theater is a once-a-month event in 2nd grade where a surprise guest, such as a parent, another teacher, or an admin, will surprise the students to be a part of the play.
Dads, Grandfathers, Uncles, and Father-Figures are invited to volunteer on campus as part of our WatchDOGS program, a nationwide effort to help provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important. WatchDOGS provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security, reduce bullying and provide a greater sense of campus safety.
Assist librarian as needed, help with self-check out station during classroom visits, and assist with shelving books. Contact our Library Coordinator Josipa Yelich at LibraryCoordinator@HuntPTA.org to get on the schedule!
